Participation and screening for non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis

Non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis is a serious disease where progressive liver damage is caused by chronic inflammation, often linked to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Despite medical advances, there is an urgent need for new treatments to slow or reverse the progression of this disease, which many people suffer from without even knowing it.
By registering, if in doubt that you have this condition you can be screened to find out under certain conditions.

Who is eligible?
We invite to participate individuals who:
- Are aged 18 to 80
- Have a confirmed diagnosis of non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis for 2 years or have a sufficient screening result.
How does it work?
Pre-registration: Start by completing our online pre-registration form to help us determine if you may be eligible.
Initial Assessment: If you are considered pre-eligible, you will be invited to come to our center for a detailed assessment.
Participation: After confirmation of your eligibility, you will receive all the information required to begin participating in this study.

The study process in pictures
Explanation
Step 1 | Before starting the study, we will take time to fully explain the selection process and the conduct of the study by phone.
Meeting
Step 2 | After the initial phone interview, if you are still interested in taking part in a study, we schedule a preliminary meeting with you during which you may ask all the questions you wish and take the time you require to read over the consent form. This form explains, in detail, the different stages of each study.
Decision
Step 3 | You may make a decision at that time to move forward with or terminate the selection process. However, you are under no obligation to make an immediate decision. Based on briefing content, you may take the time necessary to come to a decision and consult with your personal physician or loved ones.
Tests
Step 4 | Depending on the nature of the study, some tests or medical examinations may be required. In the majority of cases, these tests or examinations are conducted on Diex Research premises based on your individual availability.
Departure
Step 5 | If you are eligible, you may then begin a clinical study with us.
