Clinical Study on Chronic Cough
Diex Recherche is currently conducting a clinical study on chronic cough. The investigational drug is being evaluated to better understand its effect on cough frequency.
This study may be for people who have received a diagnosis of chronic cough and have a frequency of at least 10 coughs per hour, according to the assessment planned as part of the study.
The situation
A cough that persists can take up a lot of space in daily life. In clinical research, some studies evaluate new approaches in people who meet specific criteria.
Study objective
The objective of this study is to evaluate an investigational drug in people living with chronic cough. During the process, the team will verify cough frequency and the other criteria required by the protocol.
Who may be able to participate?
To be potentially eligible, you must notably:
- Have received a diagnosis of chronic cough.
- Have a frequency of at least 10 coughs per hour, according to the study assessment.
- Meet the other study criteria, which will be verified by the research team.
What could this involve for you?
If your profile appears to match and you choose to continue, the study may include:
- Investigational drug provided at no cost: the drug being evaluated in the study is provided to eligible participants in accordance with the protocol.
- Study-related visits, tests and follow-ups at no cost: the procedures required by the protocol are provided at no cost to participants.
- Follow-up by health professionals: the study-related visits and assessments are carried out by a qualified research team.
- Possible monetary compensation: compensation may be offered for the time spent in the study and for travel, according to the approved protocol.

The study process in pictures
Explanation
Step 1 | Before starting the study, we will take time to fully explain the selection process and the conduct of the study by phone.
Meeting
Step 2 | After the initial phone interview, if you are still interested in taking part in a study, we schedule a preliminary meeting with you during which you may ask all the questions you wish and take the time you require to read over the consent form. This form explains, in detail, the different stages of each study.
Decision
Step 3 | You may make a decision at that time to move forward with or terminate the selection process. However, you are under no obligation to make an immediate decision. Based on briefing content, you may take the time necessary to come to a decision and consult with your personal physician or loved ones.
Tests
Step 4 | Depending on the nature of the study, some tests or medical examinations may be required. In the majority of cases, these tests or examinations are conducted on Diex Research premises based on your individual availability.
Departure
Step 5 | If you are eligible, you may then begin a clinical study with us.
