Québec-April 16th, 2018 : DIEX Group announces the acquisition of the Quebec Multi-Soins clinic in a transaction that will allow the company specializing in conducting clinical research projects to consolidate and expand its expertise.
This transaction stems from an increased desire to locate in the Québec City area and an increase in operational efficiency. DIEX research and the Multi-Soins clinic shared since Fall 2017 the same premises on Montmagny street. Although they were conducting separate clinical research projects, the two companies shared the same research investigator, Dr. André Fréchette.
The Mutli-Soins clinic, in operation since 2009 and directed by Dr. André Fréchette, serves the population of the Saint-Vallier district not only through research projects, but also through travel vaccination and sampling services.
The established clientele of the Multi-Soins Clinic will be able to continue to benefit from vaccination and sampling services in one place. These will be provided by DIEX Research starting April 16th. Ongoing research projects will be supported by the DIEX Research Medical Team and remain under the responsibility of Dr. Fréchette. The follow-up and the services offered to the patients therefore remain the same for the existing clientele.

Research saves a lifeOn July 9 2015, we heard Maureen O’Connor’s story on TVA news (French only) who’s life was saved by clinical research. A 2,6cm aneurysm that could have ruptured at any moment and give only 30 seconds to live to the woman was detected by the study’s MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). This story that made the news is not an isolated case. A lot of people participate in clinical trials in order to benefit from the tight medical monitoring and advanced diagnostics tests such as an MRI. These tests are free of charge for the participants and sometimes lead to the discovery of a life threatening disease that can be treated before being fatal. Clinical research saves lives and prevents the worse!

Desranleau challenge 2015On Saturday April 18, DIEX participated in the 8th Desranleau Challenge in Sherbrooke. The challenge is used to defray the costs of the Global Health Program at the school of the same name. This program reminds students of the importance of healthy lifestyles; it allows them to reach full development not only in intellectual terms but also in their physical health and learning healthy habits. Promoting healthy life habits being one of the values of DIEX, employees participated in the event under the theme “trip around the world.” You will see that the team made a stop in Jamaica. Although the purpose of the activity is to raise funds and not to win, DIEX is proud of its 3rd place among the different participating companies.
