Out of breath more often than before?
Are you between 40 and 80 years old and living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)? See if you might be eligible for our clinical study.
Who is it for and how is it different?
This study is aimed at adults who have been living with COPD for at least one year.
Objective: To better understand COPD and evaluate a new, innovative treatment option for those affected.
With age, breathing can become more difficult. You may feel short of breath, tired, or limited in your daily activities. What if we better understood what's going on?
This study could help us better understand COPD and advance research.
Your role: To participate, if eligible, in a supervised protocol.
Our role: To support you with gentleness, clarity, and safety.
How does it work?
- Mini questionnaire (2 minutes) to verify your eligibility.
- Pre-screening meeting (nurse and doctor): everything explained, no pressure.
- Study follow-up: visits planned according to the protocol, follow-up calls as needed.

I've had a cough for a long time. Is that enough to participate? Possibly. Each situation is different, and we'll check it out together.
I'm taking several medications. Is that a problem? Not necessarily. We'll discuss it with you to see if the study is right for you.
Is there a cost? No. Study visits are free of charge. Travel and meal stipend may be offered if you're eligible.
Can I bring a loved one? Yes, you can bring someone with you to the visits.

The study process in pictures
Explanation
Step 1 | Before starting the study, we will take time to fully explain the selection process and the conduct of the study by phone.
Meeting
Step 2 | After the initial phone interview, if you are still interested in taking part in a study, we schedule a preliminary meeting with you during which you may ask all the questions you wish and take the time you require to read over the consent form. This form explains, in detail, the different stages of each study.
Decision
Step 3 | You may make a decision at that time to move forward with or terminate the selection process. However, you are under no obligation to make an immediate decision. Based on briefing content, you may take the time necessary to come to a decision and consult with your personal physician or loved ones.
Tests
Step 4 | Depending on the nature of the study, some tests or medical examinations may be required. In the majority of cases, these tests or examinations are conducted on Diex Research premises based on your individual availability.

Step 5 | If you are eligible, you may then begin a clinical study with us.
