The fight against heart failure: a crucial challenge for the health of your heart

Heart failure is widely described as the failure of the heart to supply blood to the full body bloodstream at an appropriate rate, or to receive venous return at an appropriate pressure, resulting in adverse effects on the heart.

The risk of developing heart failure increases sharply with age. It carries a substantial mortality risk and has major effects on physical function and quality of life.

Despite optimal management with current treatments, a considerable residual risk of serious events remains, and people with chronic heart failure experience irritating symptoms, including difficulty breathing and fatigue.

This is due to the uncontrolled inflammation for a long time which creates a stiffening of the heart tissue and therefore then creates heart failure because of these stiff tissues which contract badly.

The problem?

Currently, no treatment exists to manage such inflammation.

You may want to consider participating in our study, evaluating a new drug for its ability to treat inflammation that may have a positive effect on heart failure.

Why should I participate?

  • Learn about your heart disease and how to live healthier
  • Receive close care and follow-up to best manage your health
  • Try a study drug that only needs to be taken once a month by injection
