Knee Osteoarthritis and Weight: Let's Break the Isolation.
You know that feeling: morning stiffness, hesitation before getting out of the car, or skipping a walk for fear of pain. Knee osteoarthritis, combined with excess weight, is a complex medical condition that wears down cartilage... and morale.
At Diex Recherche, we know that pain management isn't "all in your head." We are currently conducting a controlled clinical trial to validate the effectiveness of an investigational treatment.
What to expect:
- Step 1: Pre-qualification. A short, confidential call to see if the study is a good fit for you.
- Step 2: Information visit. Meet our team, ask your questions, and tour our facilities. No pressure.
- Step 3: Participation. If you choose to participate, you will receive close medical monitoring.
FAQ:
- Will I be paid? Financial compensation is provided for your time and travel.
- Do I have to stop my other medications? This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the doctor, but your safety is our top priority.
- Can I stop whenever I want? Yes. Your consent is freely given and can be withdrawn at any time without giving a reason.

The study process in pictures
Explanation
Step 1 | Before starting the study, we will take time to fully explain the selection process and the conduct of the study by phone.
Meeting
Step 2 | After the initial phone interview, if you are still interested in taking part in a study, we schedule a preliminary meeting with you during which you may ask all the questions you wish and take the time you require to read over the consent form. This form explains, in detail, the different stages of each study.
Decision
Step 3 | You may make a decision at that time to move forward with or terminate the selection process. However, you are under no obligation to make an immediate decision. Based on briefing content, you may take the time necessary to come to a decision and consult with your personal physician or loved ones.
Tests
Step 4 | Depending on the nature of the study, some tests or medical examinations may be required. In the majority of cases, these tests or examinations are conducted on Diex Research premises based on your individual availability.
Departure
Step 5 | If you are eligible, you may then begin a clinical study with us.
